Building Design

Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Cleburne TX: New Building Design

Designed the floor plan, elevations, foundation piers, foundation beams, and parking lot layout in Cleburne, TX. Fulfilled the client’s project vision by working closely with the church in the development of floor plans and elevations.

Salem Baptist Church, Fort Worth TX: Fellowship Hall Design

Prepared the preliminary floor plan layout for an addition of a Fellowship Hall to an existing church facility. Design efforts revolved around capturing the church's Fellowship Hall vision.

 

Construction Management

US EPA: Office Renovation Project Management

Managed daily operations required to coordinate repairs and modifications to three administrative and laboratory facilities in Dallas and Houston totaling 300,000 sq. ft. Planned, scheduled, coordinated and monitored progress for repairs and modifications. Coordinated with Interior Designers for the planning for seven floors of System Furniture and managed the installation of the System Furniture. Advised and briefed Senior Management regarding long-term plans for facilities.

Saudi Military Academy, Saudi Arabia: Construction Management

Supervised staff of eleven architects, engineers and technicians on a $750 million slice of a $3.2 billion project. Also served as structural engineer for the Engineering Branch. Reviewed shop drawings for compliance with contract specifications and drawings; gave final approval. The facilities being constructed included family housing for officers and non-commission officers, dormitories, faculty staff homes, classrooms, laboratories, gymnasium with Olympic-size swimming pool, a shopping strip, and secondary schools.

Army/Navy Facilities, Saudi Arabia: Project Management

Negotiated change orders for $300 million project including industrial facilities, aircraft maintenance facilities, administrative buildings, multi-level parking garages, a new soccer stadium, installation of mine sensors, and instillation of five emergency generators serving support facilities and housing.

Army Corps of Engineers, FW District: Project Management

Prepared synopses of projects for publication in the Commerce Business Daily to secure the services of Architect/Engineer (A-E) firms. Prepared Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) for negotiations with A-E firms. Managed the daily operations required to design dormitories, a tank wash, child care centers, dining facilities, and a military headquarters building.
